Daybreak Nightbreak & Itch.io: Going Forward

Hey guys, Mr. Scribbly (Daybreak Nightbreak's only dev) here.

As I'm sure you're well aware, Itch.io has been shadowbanning/suspending most Adult labeled games on their platform. Luckily, Daybreak Nightbreak has not been suspended, but it has definitely been shadowbanned. In light of this, I need to prepare for the future for several different possibilities.
For now, I highly suggest that you become a **free member** of my Patreon or our Discord for future updates, as that will be where I will be posting game updates most frequently.

I'm hoping that this decision is reversed quickly, but in the event that it isn't, here's how we will be continuing:

1. I will still be updating on here for a while (unless I get suspending for some twisted reason). I honestly have only made $2 on the game over the span of almost a year, so it's not like this is a revenue cut for me. If it comes to a point where I notice barely anyone is downloading from here anymore, I'll likely stop uploading updates onto here (with substantial warnings, of course).
2. If Itch.io is able to get out of the stranglehold of the credit card companies, business will continue as normal in here, assuming their policy on Adult Games changes back to how it used to be.
3. Regardless of Itch.io's terms of service, Daybreak Nightbreak will be receiving updates at the same speed. This will not affect game development in any regard.

Please spread the word about what's been going on here, as the more buzz about the questionable legality of what Visa and Mastercard are doing, the better. I want to continue uploading to here, but if it's against the terms of service, I can't.

Next update will be out over the weekend for Patreon supporters, with you guys getting it a few days after. Stay tuned and hope things change for the better soon enough.
